Terms of service
General provisions
Effective from: 20 October 2026
The Czech version of these terms is the binding one. This English text is provided for convenience; if the two differ, the Czech version prevails.
These terms govern the use of the Svatební Pozvánka service (the "service"), which is operated by Osmanthus s.r.o., with its registered office at Dlouhá 730/35, Staré Město, 110 00 Praha 1, Czech Republic, company ID (IČO) 22257861, entered in the commercial register kept by the Municipal Court in Prague, section C, file 413383 (the "operator"). The operator's contact details are on the Company information page.
By using the service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
What the service does
Svatební Pozvánka is a digital wedding invitation. The engaged couple (the "couple") create their wedding invitation as a web page, in one or more languages of their own choosing, in an online editor. They fill in their own content — names, family names, dates, venues, photographs, music, the bank account for wedding gifts — and enter the names of their guests. Each guest receives a personal link on which they open the invitation, reply whether they will come, with how many people, with what dietary needs and which meal they choose, and can leave the couple a message. If the couple wish, a guest can see a QR code for a bank transfer or a link to pay by card through Stripe.
The invitation pages are available only to those who know the link. They are not published anywhere, and search engines are forbidden to index them.
Who may use the service
- Only an adult, that is a person over 18, may use the service as a couple.
- The couple are responsible for having the right to enter their guests' names into the invitation and to use the photographs and other content they upload. Upload photographs of other people only with their consent.
- The editor can be entered only by signing in with a Google account that has been added to the invitation as its administrator; the link to the editor alone is not enough. An invitation may have several administrators (for example both of the couple and a sibling); a new one is added by an existing administrator, and the last administrator cannot be removed. Every administrator can change anything, including the list of administrators, so the couple are responsible for whom they add. Signing in takes place on Google's page; the operator will never ask you for your Google account password.
- A guest uses the service by opening their personal link and replying to the invitation. A guest is not obliged to reply or to write a message.
The couple's content
Everything the couple put into the invitation — texts, names, photographs, music — remains theirs. The operator acquires no rights to this content except the licence it strictly needs to store the invitation, show it to guests and create reduced-size previews from the photographs. This licence lasts for as long as the invitation is stored and does not include the right to use, publish or pass the content on to third parties in any other way.
Rules of use
When using the service it is forbidden to:
- Enter content that is unlawful, offensive, or that infringes the rights of other people.
- Upload photographs or recordings of other people without their consent, or content protected by copyright that you have no right to use.
- Enter into the guest list people whose data you have no right to handle, or use the service to send unsolicited messages.
- Interfere with the operation of the service, guess other people's links or try to gain access to somebody else's invitation.
In particular, it is forbidden to put the following into an invitation or into the photo album:
- content that is contrary to the law;
- sexual content depicting minors, in any form;
- intimate photographs or videos of other people without their consent;
- content depicting violence, or inciting violence or hatred;
- content that infringes copyright or other rights of third parties.
The operator may make an invitation that breaks these rules inaccessible; where possible, it will warn the couple beforehand.
Photo album from guests
Guests can upload photos to the invitation's album through their link. Whoever uploads a photo is responsible for it and must have the right to share it; the couple manage their own album (they hide, delete and report photos).
Reporting and procedure. Every photo has a "Report" button. A reported photo is hidden from all guests immediately and waits to be reviewed. The couple or a member of the operator's staff review it and either restore the photo or delete it permanently. The operator removes manifestly unlawful content and cooperates with law enforcement authorities: it may preserve the photo and the records of its upload as evidence and, on a lawful request, hand them to those authorities. Notices of unlawful content and requests from law enforcement authorities should be sent to abuse@svatebni-pozvanka.cz.
Automated check. Every uploaded photo is checked automatically by a computer model that runs on the operator's own server; photos are never sent to third parties for checking. The model only flags photos that may contain sexual content so that a person can review them; it hides nothing, deletes nothing and rejects nothing by itself. A flagged photo appears among the couple's reported photos and in the operator's review queue.
Upload log. For every attempt to upload a photo, accepted or rejected, the operator records the time, the invitation, its administrators at that moment, the guest (or the name entered on the shared link), the IP address, the browser, the size and type of the file and the result. The records are kept for 6 months and are then deleted automatically, except those preserved as evidence under the previous paragraph. Details are in the Privacy document.
Album hosting period is counted from the date of the event: the Free plan 30 days, Premium 6 months, Exclusive 12 months. Once it ends, the album is no longer shown and accepts no new photos. The Free plan shows the 100 newest photos (the others remain stored) and the couple download photos at display size; the paid plans allow the originals to be downloaded.
Album storage (originals including the reduced-size versions): Free plan 2 GB, Premium 10 GB, Exclusive 15 GB. When the album is full, further photos are rejected until the couple move to a higher plan or delete some photos.
Filling in with AI
"Fill it in for me" uses artificial intelligence and its suggestions may contain mistakes. Check the details on the invitation before sharing it; the couple are responsible for their accuracy. Suggestions are saved only once the couple confirm them. The feature is part of every plan: up to 5 times a day per invitation on the Free plan, up to 10 times on the paid plans, and up to 15 times a day from one network address. On a day of exceptional demand we may pause it on the Free plan until the end of the day.
Plans and price
The service offers a Free plan and the paid plans Premium and Exclusive, which are paid once for each invitation. The current price is shown before payment; the payment is processed by Stripe. Some invitations are provided under an individual written agreement.
Satisfaction guarantee. If the couple are not satisfied, they may within 30 days of payment, but no later than one week before the date of the event, ask for the whole amount to be refunded. Each payment is treated separately and can be refunded only once; after a refund the invitation returns to the plan it had before that payment. The payment for moving from Premium to Exclusive can be refunded on its own; the original Premium payment can be refunded only together with that upgrade payment. A second refund request for the same invitation is reviewed by us individually. The guarantee is voluntary and in addition to the consumer's statutory rights.
Availability of the service
The operator tries to keep the service available without interruption but cannot guarantee it. Operation also depends on third parties (hosting, database, file storage) and may be interrupted by maintenance, a fault or force majeure.
The operator is aware that the date of a wedding is fixed and that the invitation is often the only one guests receive. It therefore undertakes to deal with any problems without undue delay and to inform the couple of serious outages. We recommend that the couple also keep the most important details (date, time, addresses) outside the service.
Liability
The operator is liable for harm caused by breaching its obligations to the extent provided by Act No. 89/2012 Coll., the Civil Code. To the extent the law permits, the operator is not liable for harm arising from the unavailability of the service, from loss of data caused by a third party, from incorrect information the couple entered into the invitation, or for the conduct of guests. Towards a consumer, liability is not limited beyond what the law allows.
Wedding gifts take place outside the service: a bank transfer directly between the guest and the couple, or a card payment on Stripe's page under its terms. The operator is not a party to these payments and is not responsible for them.
Termination
The couple may at any time ask for their invitation, including the guest list and the replies, to be deleted; the operator will comply without undue delay. The operator may end the service or remove an invitation once the retention period stated in the Privacy document has passed, or in case of a serious breach of these terms.
Information for consumers
If the couple are consumers, they have the right to out-of-court resolution of a consumer dispute. The competent body is the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (Česká obchodní inspekce), www.coi.cz. A dispute can also be resolved online through the European Commission's platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
Governing law
These terms and the use of the service are governed by the law of the Czech Republic. The courts of the Czech Republic have jurisdiction over disputes. This does not affect the consumer's rights under the law of the state in which they reside.
Referral codes
You can save a referral code to your account and get the discount shown on the website when you pay for Premium or Exclusive. An account can hold one saved code; once you have paid with it, it can no longer be changed. You cannot save your own code. The discount does not apply retroactively, or to add-ons and printed sets. We may invalidate a code that has been misused. The rules for people who create codes and earn rewards for them are in the Referral programme terms.
Changes to the terms
The operator may change these terms. The new wording will be published on this page with its effective date; the operator will notify in advance any couple whose invitation is stored at that time of material changes. Using the service after the effective date means agreement with the new wording.
Contact
For questions about these terms, contact the operator through the details on the Company information page. For law enforcement authorities and notices of unlawful content: abuse@svatebni-pozvanka.cz.
